Wheel Thrown Cake Stand

Service Description

Come and throw a stoneware cake stand on the wheel. This is a relaxed two hour class in our beautiful studio, wheel throwing with your teacher's guidance. We will guide you step by step in how to throw your own cake stand using two pieces of clay joined together whilst throwing. Please note this class is not aimed at beginners and you must be able to centre confidently before attending this class. You will be able to attempt your cake stand several times and choose your favourite to be fired and glazed in a white or clear option, unless you would like to come back and paint yourself which is an additional £5 and booked online after the class. Please note under 18's must be accompanied by a participating adult. After 3-4 weeks we will email to notify you that your pots are ready for collection. We advise you to come in clothing you don't mind getting a bit dirty - pottery can get a little messy! It will also help if your nails are short and you don't have jewellery on - but it isn't essential. * Due to the nature of ceramics not all pots make it out of the firing process in one piece - we will do our best to take care of your creations but cannot be responsible if pots are damaged or destroyed in the firing process and unfortunately we cannot offer refunds if this occurs.
