Tile Making Workshop 21 JUNE

Service Description

Spend 2 hours in our studio creating your own pair of ceramic tiles. These could be used as coasters, part of a larger tile design or used as wall hangings. The tiles will be a standard 90 x 90mm size so feel free to bring tour design to trace on to the clay. You will be able to add colour with slip, carve into the clay or add small pieces of clay on the surface. In our lovely light filled studio, your teacher will be able to guide you in cutting the slab using our tile cutter and helping you to trace, add and refine your design onto the clay. Once completed you will then choose choose your glazing preference including the option to return and add colour at a later stage with a £5 charge to paint in colour. This workshop is 18 years+ unless accompanied by an adult. After 3-4 weeks we will email to notify you that your pots are ready for collection. We advise you to come in clothing you don't mind getting a bit dirty - pottery can get a little messy! It will also help if your nails are short and you don't have jewellery on - but it isn't essential. * Due to the nature of ceramics not all pots make it out of the firing process in one piece - we will do our best to take care of your creations but cannot be responsible if pots are damaged or destroyed in the firing process and unfortunately we cannot offer refunds if this occurs.
