Service Description

Dominic is a local ceramicist with a wealth of experience having spent the last 6 years living and working in London, three years spent studying at Central Saint Martins, completing a BA in Ceramic design and following that working at Turning Earth, an open access pottery studio in East London. He also worked as an apprentice for Lisa Hammond MBE and has now settled in Suffolk living and working on a small family run apple farm in Suffolk. This class two consecutive days on a Saturday and Sunday morning of 2.5 hours of tuition with day one focusing on throwing the teapot and day two trimming and assembling. This course would be better suited to those with some throwing experience who want to improve and refine their ceramics. Reclaim clay is included as part of the class, however you can use an alternate clay body if you are a regular drop in student or member but this will not be included in the price. Firing of your pieces is not included but as a member can be used as part of your monthly allowance. Drop in students will need to book a drop in session to glaze and usual firing fees apply. * Due to the nature of ceramics not all pots make it out of the firing process in one piece - we will do our best to take care of your creations but cannot be responsible if pots are damaged or destroyed in the firing process and unfortunately we cannot offer refunds if this occurs. ** If booking for more than one participant please check there is space prior to booking, This can be checked with the participant number drop down - if this is not showing there is only one space remaining in the class.
