Open Studio Drop In Session

Service Description

Open Studio Drop Ins are a great way to catch up on your projects, spend extra time refining your skills, or putting the hours in at the wheel! Drop ins are unsupported so you will need to be confident to work independently, but there will always be a member of staff in the studio if you have a technical question. Open access times are for 2 and a half hours and you will need to allow 15 minutes to clean up at the end of your session - if you are cleaned before then please use the reminder time to clean a communal area of the studio. You must have completed a Claire's House course in the studio and on your first session you can speak to Claire in case you have any questions. We do accept those that have not attended a course but this must be discussed with us prior to booking with details of your relevant experience. You’ll have access to the following: aprons, work areas, basic tools, potters wheels, hand building and throwing stoneware clay*, glazes, extruder gun and slab roller. *Clay is charged at a discounted rate. Firing fees are priced on bisque pieces weight and charged at £5 per 500g.
