Kids Taster Pottery Wheel Class

Service Description

After many requests we have now added a kids taster pottery wheel class for youngsters aged 8-13 years (14 plus can attend our usual taster or mini-taster classes). In this relaxed and fun 1 hour session you will learn the basics of wheel throwing and have a go at making your own pots on the wheel, then choose your favourite to be fired and glazed *. Additional pots can be fired for a small charge. You can also opt to return and book in to a 'Paint Your Pot' session to add colour to your chosen piece(s). Please note adult supervision is not required but is allowed if your child feels nervous or will need extra support. Please keep to our age requirements as younger participants will not be able to participate on the day and refunds cannot be given at this late stage. After 3-4 weeks we will email to notify you that your pots are ready for collection. We advise you to come in clothing you don't mind getting a bit dirty - pottery can get a little messy! It will also help if your nails are short and you don't have jewellery on - but it isn't essential. * Due to the nature of ceramics not all pots make it out of the firing process in one piece - we will do our best to take care of your creations but cannot be responsible if pots are damaged or destroyed in the firing process and unfortunately we cannot offer refunds if this occurs. ** If booking for more than one participant please check there is space prior to booking, This can be checked with the participant number drop down - if this is not showing there is only one space remaining in the class.
