Hand Building Workshop: Slab Built Vase

Service Description

Spend a creative couple of hours in the studio creating your own slab built clay vase ready for those spring blooms! In our lovely light filled studio, Claire will be your instructor guiding you step by step through the process of designing, cutting, mark-making and assembling your vase. You can use your own flora and fauna to press into the surface and create texture, so please bring along with you. If you have any inspirational images that you would like to guide your making, please bring those too, we will also have some here to get your creative juices flowing! Once completed you will then choose between a selection of dip glazes to be added by us in the studio and complete your vase making it water-tight. If you are a studio regular and have completed the 6 week course you can choose to glaze in the open studio sessions as an alternative. We recommend age 14+ for this workshop.
