Coil-Building Workshop

Service Description

In this 2.5 hour class you will use the coil building method with instruction from your teacher to create your own individual piece of pottery. This could range from a vase, to a planter to a more sculptural piece. The coil building method allows for a larger piece to be made and shape can be created during the coiling process. You will be making with our stoneware clay and have the option of 2 neutral dip glazes to be applied or return to a painting session to add your own design in coloured underglaze. Please note this class is for adults and teens age 14yrs+. Under 18's must be accompanied by a participating adult. After 3-4 weeks we will email to notify you that your pots are ready for collection. We advise you to come in clothing you don't mind getting a bit dirty - pottery can get a little messy! It will also help if your nails are short and you don't have jewellery on - but it isn't essential. * Due to the nature of ceramics not all pots make it out of the firing process in one piece - we will do our best to take care of your creations but cannot be responsible if pots are damaged or destroyed in the firing process and unfortunately we cannot offer refunds if this occurs. ** If booking for more than one participant please check there is space prior to booking, This can be checked with the participant number drop down - if this is not showing there is only one space remaining in the class.
